Added a watchmen goby and tiger pistol shrimp, as well as Duncan and Devil Hand Leather.

The goby and shrimp were small, about inch and half each.

Upon entering the tank the shrimp found a hole in the rock to hide for the day. He didn't come out till the lights went out, but when he did he swam around a bit and eventually found my feeding ring at the top of the tank. He stayed up there and refused to go back down. Woke up this morning and found various burrows in the sand and caught him peeking out, so he's still around.

The goby has spent his time chasing his reflection on the glass since entree, all day yesterday and this morning now as well. My clowns also go at him from time to time, more specifically the female clown. He usually stands his ground with the male and he doesn't commit to nipping like the female will. I've told my wife to chase her with the catch net if she starts for a minute to push her into hiding some and remind her she isn't the boss around here! Lol I hope he realizes he'll be better in the burrow, so we'll see.

They were paired when purchased, just seem to have not reached that spot again.

Duncan did well, opened right up upon entering, stays open, feeds itself and all.

Leather opened for an hour after entering, then closed and remained closed till over night. He was opened fully this morning and looks happy.

Goby decided to jump ship and find his way into my filter socks not once but twice. Luckily it seems we caught it in time on both occasions and avoided his death.

Prior to this he refused to find the protection of the and and the tunnels and was harassed quite a bit by the clowns.

Today he's appeared to have backed up to one of the tunnels, though I haven't seen him enter it yet, and has decided to stay down in that area for now. Hopefully he figures things out and makes it.

Whelp, I did a no no yesterday. Wish me some luck eh? I'm aware the tank is too new, but I think he has better odds of making it with me then he did there. We'll see.

Decided to pop into a local petco yesterday, thought maybe I'd grab a couple pajamas. Ended up leaving with an anemone. They said he'd been there a week, not sure if that's true, but he didn't look the happiest.

I had no idea the colors he would have until I got him under my light, and just wow. Over night he attached to a rock at the front of my tank, stayed there most of the day, but eventually squeezed under some rock with his foot so he has a partial shade/ light area. He's been open and looking happy since. He has absolutely the show of the tank now!

How's it going?

Planning to purchase same tank. Any tips or input?
Atm I have my tank mostly tore down, only keeping a juvenile atlantic blue tang in it because he was stressing out everyone in the new 150 gallon tank I upgraded too.

With that said, it's a nice aio, just make sure you're prepared to change the filter socks daily to avoid them from clogging and over flowing. That's if you're feeding more heavily then you should be, like I did lol

Honestly, I wish I would have gone to the next size larger once I stated stocking, with sand and live rock, you end up with something realistically around 40 gallons of water, so just keep that in mind.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
