I agree with buying quality products the first time around, also get the biggest tank you can afford the first time. Otherwise you will be upgrading and it costs more money to do so.

I would start compiling some of these into the first post of the thread.

good idea i added alot of the ideas to the OP. i tried to remove the doubles. if you think i missed something or should remove something lmk or mods feel free too. also. great ideas people! i'm going to have to try a few. keep them coming.

i dont think anyone touched it, but a great way of actually saving money is QT all fish and corals and dont forget the dip!
a few hundred $ could save you thousands later on :D
