Little update on my tank!

Put a little hold on stocking ( it’s just not in the budget atm :/ )

Been testing every 2 weeks and tank has been rock solid, only complaint is it’s still a little low in the nitrates, I’d love to be 5-10 but I’m still at sub 2 and that mainly just due to big tank little amount of fish ( 15 atm ).

For a tank that was new rock and new sand and only about 4ish months old right now I’m super happy that I’m starting to have feather dusters, sponges and coraline growing everywhere🥳

Biggest battle so far has been failed return pump while I was out of town, luckily nothing died just some corals ticked off due to temp dropping before I could get back to fix it. And PH, boy has PH been a headache. For the first 3 months this tank was at 7.5 at night and max 7.6-7.7 during the day ( with an appropriately calibrated apex probe ). Kalk only helped by .1-.2 difference. C02 scrubber pulling room air seemed to fix my issue by raising to 8.1 during the day and holds 7.9-8.0 at night, but the media would deplete in about 24 hours. Soooo I drilled a hole in the top of my PS and now the air is recirculating in a closed loop and now the media last 2 weeks!!! Still with the same PH boost.

Over all I’m very happy with how things are going, just itching to finish my stock list and start adding some more coral
