weird acan growth pattern? Huh?

So when I look at others acans they sort of grow out in a blanket like pattern. Mine seems to be growing vertical with new babies growing below the top heads instead of side by side in a more typical pattern.
Is it my flow? or because I kept the scan on the plug that has a stalk? Otherwise I can't complain as there are new babies all the time so I guess it is happy….:bigsmile:

Acans grow faster when main polyp is elevated and others can grow down from it

Looks Normal to me, just poofed up and hungry.. Give it time and it will fill in and you will have your 'blanket' look.

Nice Barbara... and that looks about right.. if you have on the frag disc itll blanket out on the disc or flat on the sand bed..

Thanks everyone! this acan is always poofy and hungry…LOL… I feed it mysis several times a week and the tentacles are always out.

Hi Mike nice to hear from you. I have been testing out my tank and seeing what grows well before coming for some beautiful high end stuff at your shop. At this time acans, blastomussa and plates thrive well. Chalice and zoas and other stuff survive and looks good but doesn't multiply like my acans…..
