It’s always fascinating how deep sea life challenges what we know and believe an about our marine creatures, especially when we base all our “knowledge” on reefing with sunlight exposure. Thanks for the great article!

Interesting article! Certainly, chemolitthotrophic extremophiles are quite interesting in their ability to thrive in 'hostile' environments where it was incorrectly assumed that life was incapable of surviving. This shows that not all forms of life require sunlight to survive, either directly or indirectly, as once thought. And, as this article suggests, supports the idea that life - perhaps quite unlike any lifeforms we know of - may well be flourishing in outer space, begging the question: maybe we're not looking for the right form of 'life' out there. Woooaaaa, heavy stuff 🤣
