This thing was hiding in a hole in my live rock. I got rock as I'm about to cycle my new tank and was checking it for critters before I put it in. There was a few critters that came out of the rock (small crab, and some white worms) they were all dead as the rocks were shipped without water and it took a few days.. anyways I found this dead; hiding in a hole in the rock... what is it? I removed it cause I didn't know what it was and didn't want to leave it there..

Definately a type of bristleworm.

Thanks yeah I just needed a nudge in the right direction, this is all new to me. I'm glad I inspected the rocks tonight to make sure there wasn't anything I didn't want in there. I checked Google and it's definitely a bristle worm / scale worm... I still haven't found the exact worm online but from what I read it's in that family for sure. Thank you so much! I wasn't even sure if it was a worm before... kinda looked like a worm and a mushroom had a baby... so I don't know... lol thanks :)
