ok so here is the deal i have three clams (2 squamosa and one derasa) in my tank for about 3 weeks now , they look very good and open all the time everything is good about them but here is the weird part they are not using up the calcium at all , my calcium is at 475 and the ALK is at 9.7 , and they are not going down , used two tests (salfiret and API) with the same results , i am assuming that is bad or do they need some time to start growing , they react to light really well and i did a light acclimation for about a week now my 120W led is at 50% whites and 90% Blues , thanks

Since your getting the same test results with 2 different test kits I'd say there still good and accurate. What size tank do u have? It could be something whereas your tank is big enough u might not see them using up the nutrients. And how often u doing water changes? I've had big ones in little tanks where I could see from testing that they were using the calcium and alk up, and same for the other way around.

How big is your tank? I don't think what you are seeing is that weird, they don't grow that fast.

well my tank is fairly small it is a 46Gallon bow front , and i don't have a lot of corals , i do water change about every 2 weeks , in which i would change about 15 gallons , all other parameters have been good the only thing is that nitrates is usually 20ppm all the time , i also used to have a friends squamosa in the same tank and i kept it for about a year till i gave it back and bought this new ones , all three is between 4-5 inches by the way
