Weird question Can coral/coralline grow on fake coral?

I Imagine the answer is obvious for coral but can I grow some coralline & macroalgae on some old fake coral I've looked into this But can't find anything that says no or yes

That stuff grows on anything. I've got it on the shells of live snails, the silicone seals on my tank, the plastic overflow, and the power cord for the circulation pump.

Yes! They both can grow on fake coral or other decorations for that matter.

It's pretty common to do with Cyphastrea. :)
