weird tentacles coming out at night from rocks....what is that?

Hi guys, i've noticed few spot were there is one tentacles coming out of the rocks. They are living since i see them retract or going out longer. Only one tentacles...any idea what is it and if i have to worry? they are very tine but quite long.

Digitate hydroid. I've had them. Didn't really seem to bother anything.

Agree. I haven’t seen any negative effects from them.

Yeah I had em here n there in the sump; they seem to have gone now without taking any direct action. Don't panic! Suck em out with a turkey baster

ok, i am reading very different things about it. Who say to panick since they will get hold of the tank and possibly my life too and who say that they auto-regolate them. I am going to go with the second since i really don't want to pull out all the rocks and cant dose super dangerous stuff since i have quite a lot of snail that i dont want to lose

It’s absolutely a digitate hydroid. I had them for a while in my tank and they eventually faded away, unfortunately I don’t know why. The only thing they seemed to bother in my tank was they would annoy some zoas that they grew near.

Don't sweat it. I read the same stuff as you probably but just observed and nothing ever happened and they just faded away. I think a lot of those posts are kind of old also...

I also have a few here and there… and have for some time, but like everyone else here says, they don’t seem to bother anything. I do not have a clue as to what they are though so I’m learning on this post too.
