Hi,

I just noticed one of my acropora has white spots all over it.
I did not introduce anything new for atleast 4 months and all acroporas are doing fine.
The only thing I changed recently is adding an extra pair of t5's
But this does not look like a reaction of overlighting to me..
It is worth mentioning that this piece is the only one that does not grow and I got it 6 months ago.

Yeah that is my fear too..
I dipped it in rx pro before i introduced it in the tank.
I have 2 wrasses of witch one (melanurus) definitely eats flatworms as he virtually eliminated the brown photosynthetic fw's out of the display.

So should I take it out and dip it?
Or could it be something else? as it took 4 months to manifest witch seems a long time to me..
I do dose KZ flatwormstop and coral booster btw for what its worth..
Only for some faster growth and better overall health.

I would take a magnifier glass to it and take a good look. It's still just a small frag, so easy to move around.

Dip it in Revive or Coral RX and see if anything falls off of it.

After 4 months of being in the tank I would think it would have a little more growth, maybe try moving it to a higher light or flow place and give it a few weeks.

That's what its looking like to me with the new pics. Doesn't look like flatworms or red bugs etc on it. Not sure why the slow growth, try giving it more light and or flow.

Maybe even dosing a little amino acids. And make sure your parameters are right.

I have given it a short dip in rx as I already got it out of the tank and put it in an area with a bit more flow and light (from 300 to 350 par)
I was already dosin aminos and serval KZ products.
My ca 500 and mg 1500 and maybe some trace elements are elevated as I use Triton other methods 3 part.
But as all other corals are growing fine I don't think that's a limiting factor.

Im gonna give the coral a while and I hope the white spots were indeed just growth.

Thanks for the help guys

Alk is pretty stable at 7.0 and ph is between 8.24 and 8.43.
No3 at 8 and Po4 at 0.02

Hmm. That's very good.

Only thing I could think of to squeeze some growth out is raising your alk a bit.
