wellsophyllia radiata vs trachyphyllia geoffroyi

Am I wrong in thinking that this two should still be referred separately in the hobby instead of just calling them all trachyphyllia geoffroyi, is in my understanding that care needs and looks are much different from each other. Shouldn’t they still be classified as independent for coral needs besides the experts thinking that they both exactly the same coral.
