Trial and error in the hobby 1 year with a 60 G 90cm tank .

Deltec sc 1455
Streamers Gyre xf230 + tunze 6055 + 6 loc-lines from the return pump aquamedic ecorunner 6000

Always did bi-weekly 16g waterchanges and 3 part dosing from fauna marin with the trace elements.

I love zoanthus but those always have been troublemakers for me

Txs guys.
Expert level or lucky :)
I'm learning fast but still learning, again for the last 3 months.

First mention:
Just had phosphate remover the first three weeks .
The only thing i ever had for controlling nutrients whas caulerpa b. Growing In the sump at night.

After a while i measured 0,00 phosphate with a hanna checker.
As a newbie i listened to the most experienced reefers that where always saying "you cant have zero phospate with no phosphate remover or carbon source and very little refugium.
At this time i whas feeding flakes and pellets.
Moved over to frozen food for more phosphate.
Over the weeks it remained 0,00 until i started acro bleaching from the base.
Did my first ati labtest and confirmed i had undetectable phospates.

Had to dose phospate from a bottle for a while :-0

Been in the lean side for over 3.5 years

Last summer there whas a change i never would imagine
Did not measured to mutch becose it whas always the same.
There whas a dark arcro that never coloured up but now he did .
so i thought i whas facing towards 0,00 phosphate again
Boy i whas shocked
Nitrate +25 and phospates 0,25 :-0
Al the other corals color stayed the same as ever
IMG-1781.jpg

This one took of at 0,25 phospate lol
So the basics or not the basics anymore for me :)
IMG-1795.jpg

And it is not for 2 weeks but 3-4 months now .
Zoa are nice to for the moment.
I started slowly with carbon dosing with nopox .
Dont want things to get really out of control.
For the moment no3 =10 and po4=0,18
Now that i know my reef can take nitrate near 50 and phosphate 0,25 my goal is no3 5-10 and po4 0,10
Had more troubles with my mixed reef on the lean side than rich

Bought an update for the future
Second hands 3 hydra 52 with director :)
IMG-2097.jpg

Dont know if i will buy a 4th armature.
Maybe i'll get away with 3 and for now i'm going to keep the t5 supplement.
Now with 4 sols many light shines on the reinforcement strips.
The hydra in the middle will come right between the strips.
3 sols before in the same way did not do the trick with the 70/40 lenses
for the spread of the color for the sps
Maybe the wider lenses of the hydra will do the trick
IMG-2089.jpg

Its a little search with the director and settings but i,m learning fast hehe.
I drawed a sheets for the lightshedule i have now.
IMG-2106.jpg

Maybe i tweak it a little like david saxby and give the flat line max hours a little peaks and downs :)
Still dont know what % i should begin with?? The same of the sols or 50 or 60% ??
