I have Aptasia in my 160 gallon mixed reef, but this doesn’t look like any Aptasia I’ve seen before. What is this thing?

Thanks for all the wonderful information I’ve learned here over the months.

I'm also not positive that's a Blasto though? Maybe a Trumpet or Candy Cane? Caulastrea
You’re probably right, thanks for the correction. The LFS just brings stuff sometimes, and I don’t always get the name right.

Here’s a blasto though on the right I think.

And final ID while we’re at it. What’s this little white, fluffy thing growing on the bottom of some rocks.

Appreciate it.

Are these baby Aptasias?

Look more like Micro Featherduster or Barnacles than Aiptasia but it's hard to say for certain. Can you turn off your blue lights and take a picture?

This is the best I could do (not sure if these videos are uploading). Just to the left of that central hole.

Really hard to see but it sure looks like a feather duster.

That's an Aptasia. We have many :) They haven't really gotten out of hand in the year+ they have been in the tank, so I don't worry about them too much..

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
