What’s wrong with my Rhodactis indosinensis?

got this mushroom two weeks back and my water parameters are all good. Salinity at 1.024 and nitrates are at zero. My alveopora is doing great, but the mushroom looks like it has a hole in the center and it has white all around the hole. It doesn’t really look like it’s guts though.

Shrooms like some nitrates and will even do well with higher nitrates. It’s either splitting or as said above it’s dying.

It does look like it’s splitting I can see in between them now, but why would it be white by the mouths?

Your seeing it’s guts right now. If it splits that will all get tucked back in when it heals up.

My ricordias have spit out guts before-I did nothing. If your parameters are good and stable-just let it be. Also, make sure you have not made any drastic changes to your lighting.

Looks like it’s splitting. Keep a close eye on it but it should just form two mushrooms and heal over. Try to keep everything stable while it’s exposed and I would suggest raising your salinity to 1.025

Update? Did it split or die?
