what are blue knuckle hermit crabs?

I just picked up 2 blue knuckle hermit crabs from my LFS and the staff told me they are pretty much the same as blue legged hermit crab. They’ve been great at eating algae, the moment I put them in, they went straight to work. And this morning, I found my yasha goby jumped and died, despite having a mesh net top, but there’s a small gap on the side and I think that’s where he jumped. I just wanted to know, is is possible that the hermit crabs scared the yasha goby? What’s the temperament of these hermit crabs? The goby has been in the tank for a month and paired with a pistol shrimp, he also got a lot of hiding space as well, with a full tunnel under the rock.

Well I wouldn’t say the crabs can harm the fish, maybe it scared the fish? I mean, the crabs knock off the corals many times or maybe the goby just wanted to jump

Those fish can be prone to jumping, and can often squeeze out of the tiniest space in the top. I don’t think the hermit crabs caused it. Sorry for your loss

it took him 3 weeks to know me (not getting scared and hide when he sees me) and he did that me. My heart is broken but im gonna modify my cover.

Yeah, that's too bad, sorry to hear this! It's probably a good idea to shore up the cover a bit, especially if you want to try another Yasha.
