I just started running the moonlights on my tank last night. I've got the Maxspect Razor r420r. Moonlighting is done by setting my 1st and last setpoint to 0% whites/1% blue. I started this tank a little over 2 months ago and always blacked it out at night. I noticed this morning that some corals never closed up overnight like zoas and a hairy mushroom. My dragon soal favia didn't have his feeder tentacles out as well. I'm thinking that my light is still to bright at 1% blues because I've ran moonlight on other tanks I've had with different lights without this problem.
I guess my question is should I just go back to being blacked out or is having them on really something good for the tank?
