Just curious what people do for work? I am a critical care nurse myself. If you're comfortable, you can answer the ANONYMOUS poll related to salary, otherwise just your line of work is good. I'm not trying to be nosey, but I'm curious what the cut-off salary is to entry into the hobby where it just becomes cost-prohibitive for lower-middle class citizens to afford. If you are concerned w/ privacy, feel free to ignore the poll.

This thread was inspired by seeing a Ecotech Versa on eBay for $1500 and 2 of the 3 available sold, which got me thinking....man some reefers have a lot of money blow.

Fish Culture Technician, I will retire south of $80,000.

There isn't a cut off salary for this hobby, especially entry unless you are just getting by. I've seen plenty of small tanks with successful reefs in them.

Much like boating.....I almost hate liked a post of a friend who had a huge new ski boat, he also has big house, two kids, snowmobiles, used to have a big wall reef....no way a state GIS mapper can afford that....but maybe he invests well or his wife brings home the bacon or a decent inheritance from Grandpa.

campaign strategist. I also conduct some polls. Ballot issues as well but mostly help run campaigns. Pay varies as I am usually contracted out so it is dependent on size of campaign (presidential for our state, or state position as well as negotiation)
also just got accepted into a post bacc program to go to med school which is what I want to do.
