What does a large war coral colony look like?

Have you ever seen a large War Coral colony? Mine is growing at a nice rate but it looks like it is more encrusting than anything. Is it encrusting? Its a small still so I'm not sure if it needs to get bigger and then builds it's own shape.

Generally, depending upon the surface in which the frag is mounted on, will dictate their shape. They will take the shape of the rock.

They mostly encrust. They will grow a ball shape I think but that takes a long time. Put the frag on a rock the shape you want and it will grow over it.

The top of mine grew a small ball shape but mostly just encrusts.

A lot of LPS will do whatever they can to grow less skeleton, which a lot of the time means taking the shape of the rock that they are on.
