what flow rate to use to control ich using deltec 10w uv ? what is the recommended way to measure the flow rate ?

10 watt is a low flow (I don't have the chart handy, but probably 150-250 gph (swag).

What I can answer is the measuring the flow rate. Set up the UV in place, and use a 1,2, ore 5 gallon bucket with a stop watch, measure the time it takes to fill the bucket. Gallons/hour = Gallon/minute X 60 (min/hour). hth

David, a 10 watt UV flow probably cannot be set low enough to control Ich unless you had a nano tank in the 5-10 gallon range

Depending on the size of your Tank, that could work. I'm running a Pentair 80 Watt unit on my 180 Gallon System and that's borderline.

I am running a 4x2x2 tank. So what is the flow rate to be used to control the ich ???

10w is undersized. Your dimension point to a 120 gallon. IMO, Based on a aqua uv chart At bear minimum should be running like a 57 or 80 watt unit with at least 3-5x (360 to 600 gph) times turnover to giving a 180k + uv/cm2 intensity for ich control.
