A couple years ago there were a number of post about a new anemone "Rainbow Bottom". I have not seen anything else since.

They are cold water but could potentially survive warmer waters as many nems seem to.

They look and behave very similar to my cold water nems. Nonphotosythetic sand dwellers that sometimes disappear under the sand for a few days.

So is anyone still keeping these?

I think it was one exporter that had a ton of them, knew it would be one time thing (because the likelihood of survival in typical reef tanks was low), quickly made their money, then disappeared.

You mean your Moonglow anemones? They are both in the same genus.
Did anyone buy one of these or know anyone who's owned one?
Like @Tamberav, I own the related Moonglow anemone (personally, in a holding tank). It prefers cooler waters, but otherwise, I have found it to be nearly indestructible. Not sure about the Rainbow bottom.

Looking back to your reefing roots: Did you start with Instant Ocean salt?
