Can anyone tell me what this hitchhiker is and whether or not it is safe? It’s hard to see without motion. I didn’t even know it was there until I moved the plug a big and two of them scurried along the plug. There is only one here, though. It is flat, oval in shape, and sort of looks like a Tiki head, of all things.

The critter in the red circle? If so, does it have a feathery crown? If yes, feather tube worm. Safe to keep.
If not... it might be Vermetid snail. Kill it with a dab of super glue gel over the opening.
If something else entirely, hopefully one of us will know.

IMG_1744.jpeg Good Eye! I didn’t even see that bugger. Can vermetids move fast? I had a couple on another frag that I did superglue a couple of weeks ago. I imagine it they are.

I just edit the pic in gallery on my phone. You can use windows paint as well, save file as jpeg.

But, looks like a pod of some kind. Wouldn't stress over it.
Can you please look one more time? I got critter circled in the picture, and posted the video, now.

Yes, it's a pod of some kind. Which one, I can't really tell.
There are many kinds, but it might be a type of isopod, but could be a amphipod too.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
