WHAT IS A GOOD Aquarium controller

THAT CAN CONTROLL EVERY THING LIKE PH,ORP,TEMPERATURE CA,SALT,ALKALINITY.WAVE MAKER,LIGHTS SO ON AND SO ON I WANT TO CONTROLL EVERY THING IN THE TANK

I would go for the apex, very nice unit

it's prolly going to go back and forth between RKE and Apex but from what I have seen Apex or Profilux would be the way to go. I have an RK2 and an ACJr and would say ACJr over RK2 any day. ACjr vs RKlite I don't know. I know that if something goes wrong with my RK2 there is no longer any support or parts other than fuse holder repair and dim display repair also my serial connection no longer works and the pH does not remain constant when halides kick on and he would not crossship a replacement even with deposit so my tank, that had become reliant on the controller would have to be hacked back to manual timers. So it was never repaired. This was also with a brand new setup at the time.
ACJr and ACSerial2Web means I have access to my tank from my phone and have web monitoring of my tank. add in a web stream app I have realtime image of my tank. current signiture is updated every 10 minutes, I am having problems with the version that links right to the controller in realtime right now.

I personally favor Neptune product controllers because their products and services have proved reliable. Over the Christmas break I replaced my ACjr ( which proved to be very reliable and easy to control) with the new APEX which I have yet scratch the surface of its capabilities. I am not a fan of DA controller due to the problematic rouge outlet problem on one of their models a few years back that left many users with an unreliable controller, very poor product support.

DO NOT get the Profilux. Just do a search on the Profilux and you will soon find out how terrible they are. Hard to program and setup and NO customer support whatsoever.

I agree that it will be a battle between Apex and RKE users. I have an RKE so I say RKE. Whoever has an Apex will say Apex. They are both very similar. In fact they look exactly alike because Nepture copied the RKE.

I've had the RKE since the it came out and after they ironed out a few minor problems in the first few months it has been rock solid for me ever since.

I will second that on not getting a Profilux!

I had one, it was buggy, limited, and way overpriced
Plus the support (if you could call it that) was awful.

I dumped it and got an RKE

I am far happier now.

i think neptune customer service is prob the worst one around this is just my 2 cents and from personal experience

When I was looking at a new controller I called them
and they about gave me the bums rush off the phone.

I called the RKE folks and thy spent a lot of time answering all my questions.

Guess who got my business.

That being said I am not anti Neptune (in fact they are my #2 choice)
just something to be aware of.

I've had great luck with my Profilux and the support I needed was right at my finger tips. The Profilux can do ANYthing but it's a little pricey. For me it was the right contorller, and I also have the profilux doser which I use for balling solutions.

What? That is crazy! I've never heard anything bad about programability or customer support. Actually just the opposite. There is a customer support forum at aquariumcomputer.com and they also offer support in the sponsor thread in RC. They also respond promptly to email at [email protected] Further, their system is a breeze to set-up. I have contacted quite a few Profilux users and they all LOVE the Profilux.

I searched google. I can't find any "terrible" info. Can you back statement that up? The comment below seems typical to me. The only complaint is the price, but the people who actually buy it love it.

I had an AC3 Pro and was happy with it.
Now I have a RKL on my Nano which I like also a lot. It really does everything I need but you better don't look into their forum regarding customer support. Tons of complaints
On the bigger system I have a Profilux and just love it. For me they have the best software there is available out there which make programming a breeze. The dosing pumps they have are top notch. Customer support is EXCELLENT
