So I was just wondering if my zoanthid is losing a flower or growing one?

I would say that nothing spectacular is happening, except that one polyp is closed. It happens all the time, it will likely open up again soon. Maybe a crab touched it, or maybe its eating a copepod or some plankton that landed on it, maybe it sneezed, who knows.

If it stays closed for several days, or if it starts melting or turning white, then you can worry, but for now, I would not worry, it looks normal to me.

Ok, thanks!
