Can anyone tell me what kind of mushroom this is? It's green underneath and it has brownish tentacles or whatever you call those things on top of it. It's huge, maybe 3 inches across. Never has split or had any baby shrooms for me. <frown>

could be an elephant ear (amplexis) or simply a rhodactus - some basically look the same but the elephant ears like the name suggests get quit large. i have a couple that got as big as a dinner plate beore they split

looks like its just a fuzzy mushroom to me. I couldnt be wrong though, i'm no expert in shrooms.

Just a regular hairy mushroom. Should be fairly easy to care for and may eventually propogate faster than you would like.

+1
I have a couple left in my tank I can't reach. They spread like a weed.

I have an elephant ear and it has texture to it but not the longer polyps on it.
