Tonight I notice my ric close up as you see in the pic below (sorry for bad pic). It then slowly opened up again. As I'm writing this I just noticed it closed and opened up within a matter of minutes. This thing is very active tonight. Anyone know what's going on or is this just normal?

I suppose. But when I target feed it does not close up. It just stays open and its mouth leans toward the food and eats it. Never closes up like this.

Do you look at night often? I find my shrooms close up like this a lot when the lights first go out.

All shrooms exhibit that behavior. Usually it's because it's captured something it's trying to eat. Not all food will trigger that behavior. Mine will do that if I drop reef chili in but not for pellets.

To me it looks like it could be getting ready to move. In the picture the foot looks elongated. Atleast thats what they do in my tank. Its pretty cool. As they move a piece of the foot stays behind and another shroom is born!

ARE YOU READY TO CONFESS TO CRAZIEST, DUMBEST, FUNNIEST THING YOU’VE EVER DONE IN REEFING?
