I can’t seem to identify this algae that’s started growing rampant in my tank. Nothing seems to eat it and manual removal is not easy. It can’t be pulled off, only cutting it seems to have any affect, which makes removing large amounts difficult. It’s very slow growing, but a pain to manage.
Anyone know what this is, and how I can best manage it?

Im referring to darker green, coarse looking algae, not the slime algae.

phosphate:0.08 Nitrate: 0.10

(please ignore the absolute state of my tank, just got back from a two week holiday and haven’t caught much motivation to deep clean it yet :) )

Hard to tell what it is because it seems to be slimed over with cyanobacteria or dinoflagellates.

yeah. please use a turkey baster or pump to blow off the crud off the algae and then take another white picture.

i am guessing turf algae with bubble algae at the base. new picture will help confirm
