I know my nitrates are higher than registering because it's being held in this crazy hair algae. Most snails die in my tank think do to nitrates. I have recently added chaeto to try to out compete, doing more water changes but doesn't seem to help. I also have cyanocobacteria so I wasn't sure if this was some hairy form of that. I just want to know how to get rid of it and lower my nitrates too. It's growing all over the back and rock but so far my coral is okay with it...for now.
