Difficult to tell from the photo. Are there individual polyps or are those ridges?

That could be an acan, but it is difficult to say. If it is an acan, place it on the sand bed in the corner of tour tank.

I can tell me some acans from 10 miles away. My fiance's favorite coral and every piece she sees is 90 percent sold

Formally called Acan. It is actually called Micromussa.

With a beaut like that, I'd place right out in front on the bottom. If you have any sand sifting gobies, consider placing on a small piece of rock so they dont get sand in the polyps

Those polyps look like they are the larger kind, which leads me to believe lords over micromussa. Also, the polyps arent uniform
