I saw these two guys today in my sump. Anyone know what these are? Almost look like anenomes or clear starfish of some kind? New reefer here. Are these friend or foe?

Seeing what appears to be no radial or axial symmetry, and two out flow openings I would suspect a sponge.
Sponges are ok. Does the surface appear to have tiny pores? If so, sponge confirmed. Sponge phyla is Porifera, named for the pores covering the surface.

Tunicates are in the phylum Chordata. Unless colonial, tunicates have one in and one out-siphon. The in-siphon is larger and collects water adjacent to the organism. The out-siphon is narrow and sends the stream of water away from the tunicate.

Sponges are in the phylum Porifera. Sponges have many pores which draw in water and typically one osculum to send the waste water away.

Both should be ok for your tank as they are filter feeders
