So awhile back, I swore I saw something strange on my rocks. I didn't think much of it, because the next day, it wasn't there. I told the wife about it and she said "maybe you imagined it" - now, several weeks later, I have found this on my rock here, and I don't believe it's been there. I can't get any better photos as it's away's away from the glass. Here are the best photos I can get, I haven't reached in and touched it yet, because I don't want to if it's something bad!

Any ID's? And there is a chance it's just a rock, but I am betting against it.

Whatever it is - its definitely alive. It's moved. It also has a sucker like a snail.

Looks like an elephant snail. Google it and see if it looks like one.

Looks like a stomatella, but you said it doesn’t have a hard shell? Stomatellas have what looks like a pinkie nail as a shell.

I'm with Livinlocal. I'm not saying it isn't a stomatella, but every stomatella I ever had the shell on its back was quite obvious. This thing looks almost translucent, like a stomatella without a shell.

I'd have guessed there might, emphasise 'might' be a shell under some mantle that's wrapped over it. But 98 times out of 100, when you move a mollusk that extends it's mantle out over it's shell, they retract it when they are touched or disturbed... or moved into a glass!
