On a snail shell I would use a dab of superglue over the opening. If you tried to crush it you may harm the beneficial snail.

@sfin52 thanks I appreciate it. The mucus net hasn’t been bothering me too much. I had seen it before but this is my first time seeing the actual source and I didn’t know it looked like that.
