There are good for your tank sir. Most reefers actually dose copepods to their tanks, very beneficial.

I heard that there could be bad pods and they came off a frag that had poor polyp extension

Probably referring to black bugs, they are a pretty bad hitchiker that destroy colonies of coral. This does not look like them.
How long have you had the frag? Any damage? What are your parameters? Also, what coral are you referring to?

Frag just hasn’t had great polyp extension. I’ve shown a flash light at night and haven’t seen anything crawling on it. Doesn’t appear to be any damage.

Parameters are 8.5 dkh, 400 Ca, 1160 Mg. It’s a milli

What kind of coral is it? Sorry if you've already said I just didnt catch it.

It’s a milli or at least I believe it’s a milli

Anything in too much abundance can be bad. Typically fish will pick off copepods and keep populations under control

They look like white bugs, which would cause reduced polyp extension. Search for acropora white bugs on here.

Thanks, I took a look and one post has pics that look similar while other “white bugs” look more like red bugs.

Can anyone else confirm if these are white bugs?
