Hey everyone,

Just fed my corals today and this white stringy stuff is coming out of my wall hammer. At first i though it was just a vermetid snail, but upon further inspection, it looks to be coming from my hammer. I've never noticed this before while feeding, or from any other hammer feeding videos.

Any help is greatly appreciated

That looks like mucus to me. What did you feed? If it was a powdered food like Reef Roids, that's pretty common. They secrete it to help capture the food. In my experience hammers and torches respond a bit better to meaty foods like mysis. I wouldn't worry too much unless you start seeing tissue recession.

I fed it Hikari Coralific Delite. That's good to know, thanks!
