Hi again , I have a new question for you guys everyday lol. Thanks for being here for me . The struggle is real. My tank 3 months old. Everything in there so far is thriving , growing , multiplying. I have a great clean up crew and I am 10% water changing every week. Going through the ugly algae stage but it’s in check between my crew and manual removal. The basic algae’s I have dry rock and live sand and bottle bacteria. Fish after a week. Cycle is great . Good signs of Spi worms and just overall positivity , EXCEPT , this one spot of weird algae ?? I don’t know if you can see in the pic , but it’s noon and has either hair stands or film ? Not sure. I wanna scrape and vac before it gets to that beautiful hairy mushroom that just split into 3 🥰. What is this and what do I do about it. It is literally just in that one spot .
Thanks , much appreciated, as always

This is the worst example this week of a useless image from a reef tank for diagnosis
.

Not really, I’m just posting a random evil reply to get the board stirred up.

I really can’t see the algae or issue on my phone, a white light image may improve diagnosis , ( this is true!)

Hard to tell with the blue hue. What color is the algae in person? Brown, green? Brown with strings?

it’s not green hair algae , I have that around in a few spots and between me and the crew. It’s it a problem. I had the diatoms and I had the cyno and one of my rocks had the dark green . Stay put algae. But, this started as a small , quarter size spot that grew over a couple weeks. It’s bright neon green

Thanks. , pay phone sucks cuz I spend al my money on coral 😂 😂 I’m keeping an eye on . I have 6 astrea snails . 6 nassurius snails , 1 snail strawberry conch , a knobby brown brittle star , and 2 turbos 😂 my crew game is on. Different algaes appear and they are on it. They will probably take care of this , as well. I’m just curious because it looks so different than what I’ve seen and dealt with in other tanks I’ve had. But, the ocean is that way lol.
