Bought this yesterday and the guy at the store didn’t know what the name of it was. So here I am hoping you all can help me identify it.

Valida is a solid guess, as it is a mariculture piece it is not going to have a trade name.
thanks krux was slightly unsure about this one, and I know your good with acros so thought you would be a good help if it wasnt valida

A lot of times you find them listed under the name Tri Color Valdia, because of the green polyps.

not necessarily valida, could also be something like nasuta or nana

Now I want to learn. How can you tell it’s a mariculture piece. You are correct that’s what the guy at the store said but before that I haven’t heard of mariculture so figured he ment aquaculture. At what point do these go from mariculture to aquaculture?

Aquaculture is grown in tanks for generations and mariculture is grown in the ocean but under a somewhat controlled situation and placed on racks in the ocean

Looks like a bonsai acro, in australia most "garth bonsai's" are just the wild ones that someone grew out from a wild colony, not sure if theres a difference with the garth bonsai and the wild acropora valida's

That was one of the reasons I bought it. Thought it looked like a Garth bonsi that I had my eye on but I much bigger colony than the frag at a different online shop. It was the colors I was looking to add to to get some diversity.
