I've got 1 MP40 right now on Reef crest mode. I will have my second one here in another week and will be putting it on the same settings. I really like the randomness of that setting and I think it helps with the corals, they are never exposed to the same flow for a long period of time.

I have two MP20s right now, both running on Reef Crest mode, but not in tandem. I do plan on buying the upgrade for both of them to turn them into MP40s, but I really don't have the need right now with my current tank.

This is a fantastic thread, just purchased myself a mp10 for my 40g. The EcoSmart tidal swell does this require 2 vortechs to fully utilize this mode?

im running a mp10w on a 40 breeder. im using reefcrest mode with the speed set at 80 or 100% and its programmed to go into night mode. I personally dont find it to be loud at all, well maybe a little when it ramps up to 100% lol.

Noise wont bother me to much you should hear my skimmer . Is it treating your 40 gallon breeder well?

I run the yellow reefcrest 90% of the day and use the orange mode during feeding as it seems to work best in keeping the food suspended off the sandbed. I use 2 MP10W's on my 65G RSM250 tank (38" long)

Reefcrest here. Occasionally I'll leave it on full, constant for 24 hours.

I had 3 MP40's (one on each side, one middle back) and 2 MP10's (on the the back) in my 240 in ecosmart mode, couldn't keep the sand on the floor. Now I have 2 MP40's on each end. 2 high in the back in anti sync mode, two low in the front in a reversed anti sync mode. Running on reef crest now and my SPS are loving it. :-). Btw - gotta love Craigslist. Bought them for about $200 each.

Sounds like you got a good deal. wow.

I got my mp10 and i must say its absolutely amazing. Next question how much current is TOO MUCH for an acro really? Mostly everything seems like its pretty good except my birds of paradise its polyps are flying around like crazy getting quite a bit of current. Is this too much?

I only have a single mp40 in my 75 and run it on reefcrest. Soon I will get an mp10 for the back wall and run them master/slave in nutrient export.

I have a 180 gallon (6' long) with two MP40s, one at each end. They're running anti-sync and I typically use EcoSmart Tidal Swell Mode at about 40% power. The fish seem to enjoy it and it's not too much flow for the long tentacle LPSes that currently dominate the tank.

I have a 6ft 150gl with a mp40w es on each end running reefcrest anti sync and a k4 blowing across the back. With the returns from the sump I have at any given moment close to 10k gph in the tank randomly. Seems to keep all fish and coral happy.

I use my 40 on reefcrest as well. My tank is a 36x24x20. It works well. Also have 2 koralia 750's aganist the 40 to randomize it, LOL!!!

MP10 on my RSM 130D in Reefcrest mode. I have it cut back to about 40% though. It is too much for most of my corals on 100%.

29 Biocube fish and coral - with an MP10. Reefcrest mostly and occasionally put it on the NTM to stir things up and change the flow.

2 MP10's on 60 gallon cube in reefcrest most the time, but Ill put it in lagoon and NTM a few times a week just for a change.
