Oh come on bro. Obviously there are always going to be exceptions to the rule. 99% of the time thats not the case. If you want to pay shipping on that one, be my guest.

$100 for 60 lbs of LR and 30 lbs of Ls. thats $1/pound. Not bad the way i see it.

uhhh what the heck are you talking about

60lbs of Live Rock and 30 lbs of Live sand the shipping is $100 (air frieght to the local airport to me in michigan) under water. thats just shipping. Cost per pound for the lr is $5/lb and last I can remember it was $2/lb for sand.

A sump with bioballs! Or at least take out the bioballs and replace with a filter bag or something.

Used Live Sand. Wow, I learned that one the hard smelly way. By the time you wash it, and prep it, hell, it's not live anymore.

New live sand - This one's 50/50 in my opinion, I've used it with great success, but at the same time if you can find a reefer to give you a cup of his sand and use it to seed some quality "not live" reef sand you'll acheive the same thing at half the price. (I know, this goes against what I 1st posted about used live sand, but I'm talking a cup, and 75lbs here)
