My friends have commented on the fact that our house is basically a zoo with all our animals. I was curious what kinds of pets everyone else has that's outside their reefs?

We've got Blinky our slider...

Lilly our ball python...

All our chickens: Glory (Grey Americauna), Helga (Bielefelder), Matilda(Bielefelder), April (Jersey Red), Boots (Brahma), Liberty (gold Americauna), Checkers (Barred Rock)

And of course, we've got our Zoey!

Now that you've met mine, how about yours? [emoji1]

We've got.... oh my...

3 cats (Atropa, Gaston and Cheetah)
1 collie mutt (Rufus the Dufus)
4 goats (Aster (expecting), Sequoia (expecting), Trilly and Elroy)
1 freshwater beta (Gerald)
5-10? Chickens. I can't remember all the names.
And I'm getting a Komondor puppy in a couple weeks when he's weened.
I think I'm going to name him Goose.

Maybe it's not as bad as I think. But I swear I buy more animal food than I do people food.

Dang, I've got nothing compared to some of y'all, haha! I wish I had more room so i could have more chickens. Up in north jersey, (even out in the hills/ mountains where I'm at) space is at a premium

I also want chickens or ducks but we have a coyote wolf and badger problem in my neck of the woods so they tend not to last long. We have about 3000 acres so lots of room for critters :)

My little buddy, Argyle the Scottie. He likes being anywhere I am, even if that means between my feet while I'm holding 5 gallons of water over the tank doing a water change...

The fiancee's rat, I mean Chihuahua... he's modeling his new life jacket. I'm not worried about his ability to swim. Scotties are notoriously bad swimmers. Big heavy body short stubby legs. So both dogs got a life vest.

13 chickens(7 cuckoo marans hens, 1 cuckoo maran rooster, 2 golden comet hens, 3 white rock hens), a california white rabbit doe named Bunneh, and we're looking into a crested gecko for her. Something else to add to the zoo.

I wouldnt live in a city again or even small town. Country life is totally the life for me!
I'm only 16 and I was:
born in Atlanta
moved to WV
moved to NC beach
moved to AR (now)

All those moves are long and difficult time stories >.>
But hey we are on 30 acres now and I couldn't be happier, totally agree with you! but sometimes I must admit I miss my city!

I did the opposite and started in western NC, then moved out to the coast of NC, and now I'm in north jersey. Prefer the rural areas, but I gotta go where the work is
