OK I just purchased a Marineland 75 gallon with a corner overflow it has 1 inch piping I believe. And I have a Bashsea sump and it 1.5 inch pipes. So should I use a 1 or a 1.5 inch pipe what are y’all think ???

I’d go with 1”
You’ll have no problem with that

1" will be good, especially for the drain. Size up if you can on the return, it will be easier on your return pump, and even potentially allow you to downsize your pump over what you would need with 1" pipe.

I had a similar dilemma when setting up my aquarium last year. What worked for me was using a reducer to match the pipe sizes. You could go with a 1.5 inch pipe and use a reducer to fit the 1 inch piping from your tank. It worked like a charm for me. And hey, if you need any plumbing advice or supplies, I've had good experiences with https://www.pm247.co.uk/services/plumbing/london/ in London. They might have just what you need!
