Hi all,

I'm getting excited to add my first coral to my first SW tank but having never kept them before was hoping to get some advice. Tank is a 75 gallon been up since about September with 3 flasher wrasses having been in it for a little over a month now.

Looking to add an LPS coral or two, Frogspawn and still trying to decide. I'm just curious about the process when you get a new coral do you QT it, I have a QT tank but only standard LED strip light that came with it. Do you dip it and then right into the tank, if so what do you dip it in?

Then when you put it in do you just set it first to make sure it likes the spot do you glue it right away and again what kind of glue or how are you attaching it?

I have an AP700 LED light that has an "acclimation" setting, assume I would run that for some period of time than switch over to the standard program.

Thanks,

Many QT corals and fish. I can’t do that but I do dip them. I use coral up and follow the directions. After dipping, I rinse them in NSW then acclimate to my water.
