Picked these up for my sump and I can't remember what it's called. It has a soft white shell that's flat. Sorry for crappy pic, I'll try to get a better one!

The cowrie's mantle (the part that builds new shell) covers its shell while it's out & about, that's why cowrie shells all look so polished.

I haven't seen a lot of them around, so ... lucky you!

If it does, he's a great cuc. There's tons of different cowries and some aren't reef safe.

Yup that's what he looks like. I was very confused when I looked in my sump and his mantle was covering his shell hehe. I put two in my sump so hopefully they don't eat the algae too fast!
