What TDS is your tap?

45-48 tap in cooper city Florida. Our plant is 50 feet away lol and we just had our supply lines replaced feeding the neighborhood

In Vancouver it's normally 0, but I've seen it as high as 4. BC has won best water in the world award every year sense 2013 when our new plant went in. It's pretty clean to begin with. My filters last years.

Probably why most bottling companies get their water from BC. It's free and very clean "tap is cleaner here than bottled water". There has been talk about starting to tax bottling companies even though there's more water here than we know what to do with.

dang, mine is terrible compared to everyone that has posted in here... I'm in New Philadelphia, OH and my TDS is 519 before going into my RO/DI, it reads 8 when it passes the RO stage, 0 after the DI of course... Using a BRS 150GPD 6 Stage Universal Water Saver unit.

I change my DI resin as often as I change my socks.....

I live in a Memphis suburb in Desoto County, MS. We have artesian well water, and my incoming TDS can get as high as 18 or so if I haven't run in a while. However if I flush the system for 2-3 minutes, it always goes down to 1-2. Any time I plan on running a good bit of RO, I flush first, watching my incoming meter readings. Once I get down to 2, I turn the flush valve off... usually takes 2 or 3 minutes of flushing to get down to 2.

Mine on my inline TDS meter on my RODI reads 21. I've heard those are not very accurate. Maybe someone can comment?

Well, if you have the triple checker one, with 3 separate reading points, you should calibrate it even though they say it's factory calibrated. I've rarely, if ever, gotten a piece of equipment that was perfectly calibrated from the factory. You just calibrate one of them and all 3 get calibrated that way. You're also supposed to make sure the water runs between the metal probes instead of having them one behind the other. That makes it more accurate as well. I keep a COM-100 handheld tds meter to double check my pail of water anyway, and that meter is a lot more accurate than the inline ones (I use those also).
