Looks like a branching mushroom or an anemone of sorts. Had it come in on my zoas colony a few weeks ago. Actually was 2 of them. Are they good or bad?

dont touch it with your bare hands. they pack a punch. I dont know from experience, but ive heard

I know of a guy who keeps a large one in his reef without issues.

They are certainly gorgeous. I borrowed these pics from Aquawolf at a different forum

Awesome. I guess thats not a bad deal then to get 2 freebies on a rock. They do look scary!!!!

Wow... that's incredible.

And that maroon looks like the devil. How fitting!

I've heard of these, but I thought the sting was too powerful to allow clownfish hostings. Guess not.

The one in the first pick is a different anemone then the one flyguy posted, the second one is a Actinodendron arboreum. I believe they are i the same family though I had one that got to about 5 inches across and was really beautiful.....They do have a strong sting as well.....
