My first thought was hydroids but never seen one being bioluminescent before....i also have video of it semi retracting when a snail got close to it. What do yall think?

Nah, ive noticed it before in the same spot, for a couple weeks now. Just decided to video it to get a closer look.

Interesting. I wouldn’t rule out an invertebrate like an odd ball worm. I would like to see more. It’s tough it mostly looks at will of the flow but I’m not sure it is entirely; hard to see

If an invertebrate, wouldnt it move? Its been in the same spot for a couple weeks now but I thought it was hydroids at first so I didn't pay it any mind. As I keep checking it over the last weeks, it just didn't look quite right so I got a video of it tonight to get a closer look. But idk

You would think. But if it doesn’t need to…. It’s probably nothing. If you can try and mess with it, idk how accessible it is. It doesn’t look like a barnacle. Yea you might be right with hydroid. I’m 100% guessing

TBS rock? my wife has the same critter, it has not moved from its location in months, extends and withdraws frequently. Cannot help with identity, but it's interesting to watch

Not from TBS particularly but yes, it is on a piece of maricultured rock from the gulf.
