I am a new reefer and I got these for my birthday. Each one came with packets of solutions (calibration, cleaner, storage solutions). What do you do with them once they are opened ? Can you store them in plastic bottles (or do they need glass). Do you throw it out (seems kinda wasteful).

Thanks again for your help

You will need to throw out the calibration fluids after a while, eventually CO2 and other gasses will dissolve in solution and possibly impact the pH, not to mention any residual liquids entering the solution from the probe and doing the same thing. It's not like it will happen overnight, but it will happen eventually.

In my Chemistry labs in undergrad, calibration fluids were always discarded after use. I personally throw them out after each use.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
