I currently am running Aquatic Life T5 / LED ( 3x Radion G4 Pro) and have good growth on my corals.

I’ve concluded I want to replace my lamp or replace the LED with Metal halides. Any recommendations or suggestions for someone experienced with this type of lighting ?

Thanks

I have not used MH in a long time. I did not know there were others out there wanting to use them. Actually, I have two brand-new bulbs in my old fixture. 200-watt ballast and I think the bulbs are 14k.

Look into reef brite fixtures, they’re one of the few remaining builders. T5 and LED is still as good as it gets for SPS, but you won’t have that LED pop.

There are a ton of recent halide threads active right now.

Do you know if hydroponic reflectors and ballasts will work
