What would you do with this …sps necrosis

It’s necrosis is going very slow but gradually getting worse.

The area receives little light and it’s in the shade… the polyps are all out though..

should I be covering the dead spot?

just wondering what to do for the best..?

You most likely have a vermatid snail near by, or some other pest. They tend to thrive/damage shaded areas. So first I would resolve whatever caused it. After that, you can either leave it alone, but it’ll probably never regrow there if it’s in the shade. Or you can remount it to where that area gets more light so the coral will regrow there.
