Its growing 2 inches from my sand in a low light area.Where in the tank is it growing? It could be a nonphotosynthetic coral.
I've noticed 2 more spots today on the rock. On on top and one on the back side of the rock.Cup coral?
They come to a pointDo the tentacles appear to have balls on the ends?
Not really long. Last month when I fount it only had 3 polyps since then 2 more polyps have grown. They seem to stay small like my meteor shower Cyphastrea.Galaxea maybe? Does it have long sweeper tentacles?
During the day time the polyps expand outSkeleton doesn’t look like any cup coral I’ve seen... I’m out of guesses.
Does it retract at night? Or during the day?
could it possibly a coral I had in the tank before. Like my green birds nest or green pocillopora. I know in nature if a pocillopra is unhappy it could send off its polyps and start new colonies.Skeleton doesn’t look like any cup coral I’ve seen... I’m out of guesses.

They are notorious for multiplying quickly all throughout tanks. I have no experience with them, have avoided them for that reason.could it possibly a coral I had in the tank before. I have 5 spots like this one. Also it started growing branches in the last month when i started dosing calcium. And I'll have to take one when the light are one. They are notorious for multiplying quickly all throughout tanks. I have no experience with them, have avoided them for that reason.
