Pulled out my chocolate chip starfish from the sump and noticed some swollen jelly like stuff coming out from the underside of the starfish.

Never noticed it when I purchased. Starfish is alive so im not sure whats going on with it. Was hoping to keep it in the sump for a week until its time to feed the harlequin shrimp.

That is the stomach of the starfish. They open up in the center and push their stomach out to dissolve their food and ingest it. You must have pulled it out while it was eating.
Ok good to know! It was almost completely floating on the surface and barely holding on by one leg so I wanted to check on it
