The tank was set up with caribesea live sand and live rock from someone else's, seemingly, healthy tank. The rock has some kind of greenish algae and some fairy dusters. Water testing over the couple weeks has been fine low ph but otherwise good. I've really just been running it as it is to get the water right and make sure temperature and circulation is good before putting anything else into it.any tank inhabitants? any real live rock?
i concur with chiton ID. could also be a limpet! It looks like a harmless, algae-grazing limpet or chiton. A closeup picture of the animal's dorsal side (not facing the glass) would help with a better ID.
